John Haring
John Haring, Haring Schmidt’s President, has spent the last twenty-plus years in the microsystems and management consulting world. John is an educational software pioneer who designed and wrote some of the first software to be included with textbooks by the major schoolbook publishers.
He founded Random Micro, Inc. / American Softech, Inc. in New Jersey in 1991 and guided the company to locations in three cities and clients from Fortune 500 companies to small businesses and in all sectors from private to government to education to non-profit. He later returned to the academic world where he taught at the college level and was CIO of a northeastern college where he won national awards for his infrastructure design and execution.
Also a respected demo producer and singer with a music business degree from Middle Tennessee State University’s world-renowned Recording Industry Management Program, John recently moved to the Nashville, Tennessee area and founded Haring Schmidt, Inc. with talented Internet software developer, Andrew Schmidt, to provide high-level Internet programming and administration services as well as his respected microsystems and management consulting services to companies and organizations around the country.
Andrew Schmidt
A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Andrew Schmidt is a software developer and server administrator who specializes in developing web services using open source technologies. Having worked professionally for the Illinois Department of Central Management Services, Middle Tennessee State University and Sound and Video Creations, Inc., Andrew is acquainted with virtually all segments of the IT industry.
While still in college, Andrew started his first company, Total IT Solutions, Inc. As a provider of IT services, Total IT Solutions worked with small businesses to fulfill their IT needs. In his time with Total IT Solutions, he created a custom Point of Sale application and numerous websites. After college, Andrew began freelance consulting for such firms as Power Rental and Sales, TransWorld Exhibits and The Jolly Cyclist.
In web development he employs such technologies as PHP, MySQL, Apache, Linux, AJAX, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop, Flash and Director. He also routinely uses open source packages such as Mambo, Joomla, Drupal and the XSPF player.

Haring Schmidt, Inc. is a full-service organization employing a full-time staff plus supplemental professionals to satisfy capabilities that we don’t currently have in-house. As a result, we have built a group of some extraordinarily capable people who wouldn’t be affordable to have on full-time, but are available to join us temporarily to help to satisfy our clients’ needs.
